Customer consent and privacy tools
Review contact permissions and handle customer data requests using the controls available to your role.
- 1
Check consent before a campaign
A purchase or imported contact does not itself establish marketing consent. Review consent and opt-out information in the customer and compliance screens. Do not reimport a contact to work around an opt-out.

Export or request deletion carefully
Authorized staff can use the customer export/deletion tools and inspect the audit trail. Verify the customer's identity, scope and request before taking action. Read the deletion confirmation; it is not the same as closing a conversation or ticket.
- 3
Collect only what the task needs
Use the intended payment and return forms for their purpose, and restrict staff access. Do not ask for passwords, verification codes or full payment-card credentials in chat. Remove private customer information from screenshots shared outside the team. Product tools help your process; they do not replace your organization's privacy policy or legal assessment.
